AKB48和7個姊妹團體集結一堂的線上festival即將在全世界播放。
結合線上線下的所有海外48團體，同時登場。
「AKB48 Group Asia Festival」在2019年1月曼谷首次舉辦，而在同年8月24日舉辦了第2次的亞洲fes， 「AKB48 Group Asia Festival in SHANGHAI」，此次表演作為AKB團體首次國內外團體合作的舞台，大獲好評。前次的上海公演不只是加強了原有泰國公演的演出內容，還十分著重於展現各個團體所屬國家的文化特色，因此在國內外造成了極大的話題性。
2021年6月27日所舉辦的第3次演出，以AKB48為首的所有海外48姐妹團體，將在主要據點的日本東京，於線上一同相聚，並同時在亞洲各地的劇場和專設場地進行演出。
此次festival的特徵之一為採用XR最新技術所構成的線上效果。能透過和全世界的粉絲一起互動等各種不同形式享受此活動。除此之外，也能夠在姐妹團體所屬都市的實際會場為偶像應援，為史無前例的融合線上線下的亞洲全面的大型Festival。前夜祭、後夜祭準備了各種各樣的表演內容，能和成員一起開心享受全新體驗。世界唯一以同一名稱在全球展開活動的AKB團體才能辦到的全新偶像炫風，將席捲世界。
